Montego Karoo Senior keeps the ingredient list short, using chicken, lamb and rice to feed older dogs of every size. Its fat is low relative to its protein, which also makes it a sensible option for grown dogs that need to shed a few kilos.

- Weight management, per day: 1–5 kg 35–105 g; 10–20 kg 175–295 g; 30–40 kg 400–500 g; 50–60 kg 585–755 g.
- Weight loss, per day: 1–5 kg 25–80 g; 10–20 kg 135–225 g; 30–40 kg 300–385 g; 50–60 kg 450–580 g. See the bag for every weight band.
- Typical analysis: protein 22.5%, fat 10%, crude fibre 3.5%, moisture 12%, ash 7%, calcium 1.2%, phosphorus 0.7%, EPA/DHA 0.4%, glucosamine 640 mg/kg, chondroitin 330 mg/kg, 350 kcal per 100 g.
- Ingredients: rice, chicken meal, lamb meal, chicken fat, beet pulp, brewer’s yeast, whole egg powder, inulin, hydrolysed chicken, fish oil, potassium chloride, salt, essential minerals and vitamins, dried algae (Schizochytrium sp.), sodium bisulphate, encapsulated fatty acids, L-carnitine.
- Mix in gradually over a week and keep fresh water within reach.

Delivery & returns
Order before 10am for delivery the same day by 7pm in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town and Durban; after 10am it arrives tomorrow by 7pm. Metro delivery is R49, free from R500. Main hubs are R69, free from R750, and the rest of South Africa is R89, free from R1,000, by courier.
